ASSOCIATE
McKennon Shelton & Henn LLP, a leading woman and minority owned law firm based in Baltimore, Maryland, seeks to hire an associate with up to five years of transactional experience to work in our general corporate practice representing companies, investors, and lenders in corporate finance, venture capital, private equity, M&A, and other corporate and commercial transactions. Our corporate practice, led by Sulee Clay (http://www.mshllp.com/site/staff/sulee-clay/), represents clients of all sizes, from startups to Fortune 500 companies, across industries from technology to cannabis. Our firm also has a leading national public finance practice led by attorneys with broad transactional experience.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and organized with an entrepreneurial mindset, and will have experience in transactions, including experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various types of agreements. This position may largely be conducted remotely, but the ideal candidate would have some in-office time. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a sophisticated, rewarding, and growing practice that will provide client engagement and exposure to many different types of transactions, along with ample prospects for career growth. Qualified candidates must have excellent academic credentials, strong communication skills, and an ability to take on and complete assignments in a remote environment. Organizational and time-management skills are essential, as the candidate will have to quickly adapt to changing circumstances, priorities, and deadlines. The successful candidate must also be able to work as part of a team and exercise practical judgment. Licensure to practice law in the State of Maryland or the District of Columbia is required.
