Taylor Klavan joined McKennon Shelton & Henn as an Associate in the tax group in March 2015. Her practice focuses on federal tax laws and regulations pertaining to tax-exempt obligations. Taylor provides tax advice in conduit 501(c)(3) and governmental tax-exempt financings. She also advises clients on issues related to private use, exempt facility qualification and financing, and arbitrage. Taylor counsels clients on post-issuance compliance issues including IRS audit and review activities. Taylor serves as tax counsel for a wide variety of public finance transactions, including the issuance of tax-exempt, fixed and variable rate bonds, advance and current refundings, and leases. Taylor is a member of the Maryland and DC bars.
